The International, Standard Car Categories (SIPP Codes)

Car rental companies may use various codes to define their car rental categories. To help standardise these, the 4-letter SIPP codes were established. These serve as a useful international standard that is widely used, displayed and recognised by the great majority of the car rental industry. This code is designed to help the customer directly compare different groups of cars and their general specifications. The rental company will then display a given price against each category.

For Example  -  A category ICMR car is: Intermediate - 2/4 door model - Manual Gears -with A/C.
